If every decision has to come through the leader, you haven’t built a team. You’ve built a bottleneck. My job as a leader is to provide direction, establish clear expectations, remove obstacles, and give talented people the room to do their jobs.
That doesn’t mean stepping away. It means being available without being in the way. The goal isn’t to have people depend on you.
It’s to build people who can lead without you.
